Dena Bank was founded on 26 May 1938 by the family of Devkaran Nanjee under the name Devkaran Nanjee Banking Company. It adopted its new name, Dena Bank (Devkaran Nanjee), when it incorporated as a public company in December 1939.

About Dena Bank

Dena Bank, in July 1969 along with 13 other major banks was nationalized and is now a Public Sector Bank constituted under the Banking Companies (Acquisition & Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970. Under the provisions of the Banking Regulations Act 1949, in addition to the business of banking, the Bank can undertake other business as specified in Section 6 of the Banking Regulations Act, 1949.

1.Bhim Aadhaar Dena (Aadhaar Merchant Pay System)

BHIM Aadhaar DENA is a digital payment acceptance solution from Dena Bank which enables the DENA BANK merchants to accept payments for goods/services using his android smartphone and fingerprint reader from customers through their Aadhaar seeded bank accounts. The transaction will be interoperable in nature allowing any bank customer to transact o­n BHIM-Aadhaar-DENA.

2.BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money)

BHIM is a UPI based payment interface which allows real time fund transfer using a single identity like your mobile number or name.

3.Demat Services

Dena Bank apart from normal banking services also offers you the capital market oriented product in the form of Demat account called -Dena Laxmi Demat Account. Dena Bank is Depository participant of National Securities Depository Limited ( NSDL ).since 1997 and is extending Depository services to the Demat Account holders of the Bank.

4.Dena Gift Card

The Dena Bank Gift Card comes packed with a host of features:
